Steps Energy attended "Maturing Geothermal Energy For Saudi Arabia" sponsored by KAUST. The conference attracted attendance from all over the world. Panelists extended their knowledge and experience to help Saudi Arabia launch its geothermal program.
KAUST is the first Saudi entity to hold a conference specialized in geothermal energy in Saudi Arabia.
Steps Energy to invite Thermal Energy Providers (TEP), a USA company, to execute a "Technical & Commercial Assessment Study" for the hot spring in Al Ghumayqah in Al Lieth area. The study was followed by a financial assessment study by one of the largest financial companies in the world.
The "technical & commercial Assessment" and the "financial assessment" studies performed by Steps Energy were the first try in Saudi Arabia to move from geothermal academic studies into feasible business proposal.
